DESCRIPTION:For all of you AHCA competitors and others who are interested in learning more about competitive obstacle course challenges\, this event is for you.\nPrivate lessons with Matthew Jobe will be offered throughout the day. Running concurrently with lessons will be open arena\, lunch\, practice runs and judged run. We will do a wrap up Q & A session for 1 hour with AHCA judges. \nCompetitors have a choice of packages ( all packages mean 1 rider 1 equine): \nWALK- access to the outdoor arena from 10a-noon to practice on obstacles. Break for lunch (on your own). At 1p we will begin making practice runs. Once everyone has been through\, then the judged runs will begin. This means we will be running a DOUBLE-DOUBLE weekend March 3rd and 4th! \nSince this series will conclude over the course of one weekend\, it is imperative that you pre-register and book your stalls ASAP. We cannot hold stalls. \nYou must ride at least 4 times in your division to be eligible for a buckle. That means if you did not make it to our December event\, you still have the opportunity to ride 4 times at this upcoming event and be eligible to win a buckle. \nEach ride is $40. If you’re running doubles Saturday for one class\, you will owe $80. DESCRIPTION:Join us for discussions about “Equine Behavior” with Sue McDonnell\, PhD\, Certified AAB and “Infectious Diseases and how to keep your horses safe from them” with Wendy E. Vaala\, VMD\, Dipl. ACVIM. Dr. McDonnell is a certified applied animal behaviorist and the founding head of the equine behavior program at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. She is also the author of numerous books and articles about horse behavior and management. Dr. Vaala is a senior equine technical services veterinarian at Merck Animal Health and specializes in internal medicine and equine neonatology and perinatology. She has been an invited lecturer at seminars and symposiums for horse owners and veterinarians in North and South America\, Australia\, and Europe. She also has authored articles for veterinary journals and is an assistant editor for the textbook Equine Reproduction. \nAs always\, lunch will be provided and we will have tons of raffle items and door prizes! Ribbons will be provided to the top 6 placings of each division at the end of each race.
