2018 marks the fourth year of the annual Hogs and Horses Poker Run, a motorcycle benefit ride for Hope and Healing Academy. On Saturday September 29, bikers from Topeka and surrounding communities will convene at the Hope and Healing Academy (HAHA) barn and then make their way to five stops at local biker-friendly bars in the area. Registration is from 12-2 pm at HAHA, which is located at 10437 SW 53rd St, Topeka, KS 66610. The cost is $25 per bike with day-of or online registration available. Tickets are sold for raffle items throughout the ride, and the event ends at Breakers at 8249 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66615 with a BBQ dinner and live music from the band Evolution. Those who wish to join us at Breakers at 7 pm are welcome with free-will donation. All proceeds from the ride and event go to HAHA.
Hope and Healing Academy (HAHA) is an 501(c)(3) equine-facilitated psychotherapy program in Topeka, KS. Licensed psychotherapists work alongside riding instructors and trained horse handlers to bring hope and healing to clients of all ages and backgrounds.
