Kansas City Cowboys for Cops – Downtown Trail Ride

Calling all Cowboys and Cowgirls and Equine Enthusiasts!
Kansas City Cowboys For Cops wants YOU to join us for our 3rd annual “Downtown Trail Ride” from the west bottoms of Kansas City to the National World War I Monument and Museum (Liberty Memorial).
Hosted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse.
WE RIDE to show support for our Law Enforcement Officers and all first responders!
WE RIDE in MEMORY of those we have lost in service.
WE RIDE TO RAISE MONEY for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse’s POSSE 100 FUND, a fund designated for first responders and their families in times of need.
The day of our ride mulitple checks will be presented to First Responders and their families.
We will be lead by the KCPD Mounted Patrol and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse.
KCPD will be providing a full rolling police escort to and from our destination!
Once we reach the National World War 1 Monument & Museum we will have a short presentation to show support for our LEOs and first responders.
Afterwards we will return to our staging area via the same route with our police escort.

The Liberty Lot is located one block north of the Kemper Arena Complex. From I-670 exit on Gennessee St, go south to 16th St and turn left (east) to get to our staging area. The Liberty Lot is a large gravel parking lot. 1447 Liberty St, KCMO
Wear patriotic colors and decorate your horse!
Horse drawn vehicles welcome. All breeds welcome.
Our route is approx 5 miles to and from our destination that will be completed at a walk. We estimate to return to our staging area around 1 PM.
Current coggins will be checked at the GATE.
*** No stallions. No bareback riders. No double riders. No lead line horses with on foot walkers. ***
Over 300 head of horseback riders attended our 2017 event. We raised over $10k and ALL OF IT was given to First Responders.
This year we want to raise $20k OR MORE! HELP US!
DONATIONS
We are asking for $20/rider at the gate or fundraise to support the Posse 100 fund and Kansas City Cowboys For Cops!
Ask your neighbors/coworkers/friends & family to SPONSOR you to ride!
Gather your friends, Posse, Saddle Clubs and ride with us!
ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE through the Posse 100 fund, a 501c3 charity fund.

We will have water available for EQUINES on site at our staging area and also at our destination.
